Please read the following terms and conditions carefully before you use the safeguarding communications tools.

- SAIF for clinicians a supra-secure support, advice and information forum for clinicians to discuss challenging issues, share experience and expertise about front-line clinical practice https://clinicians.safeguardingnetwork.org.uk. This forum is supported by a clinical moderator
- SAIF for health professionals a support, advice and information forum for health professionals involved developing, supporting and training in safeguarding practice to share what works, spreading innovation practice and reducing the isolation of the role http://healthprofessionals.safeguardingnetwork.org.uk. This platform will also be used to set up safeguarding fora to support specific health professional networks e.g. SAIF for health professionals North East.

The term Safeguarding project team or us or we refers to the team that manage the Safeguarding communications tools. The term you refers to the user or viewer of these tools.

The Safeguarding communications tools contain material which is owned by or licensed to the Safeguarding project team. This material includes, but is not limited to, the design, layout, look, appearance and graphics. Reproduction is prohibited other than in accordance with the copyright notice, which forms part of these terms and conditions.
All trademarks reproduced in this website, which are not the property of, or licensed to the Safeguarding project team, are acknowledged on the website.
Copyright notice

Registration

You will also choose a passcode (7 digit number) to use SAIF for clinicians. This includes posting comments on news items and posting discussions in the discussion fora.
You will receive confirmation of your registration details by email. You must keep your registration details secure and confidential at all times. You must provide your username and password, and passcode for SAIF for clinicians, to enable you to use the privileged areas of the Safeguarding communications tools.
If you become aware of any unauthorised use of your registration details please notify us immediately by email to admin@safeguardingnetwork.org.uk.
Misuse of the Safeguarding communications tools will lead to the removal of your access to the privileged areas of the Safeguarding communications tools.
Acceptable use policy
You are permitted to share content on the Safeguarding communications tools provided you do so in a responsible manner, using common sense and caution and exercising proper judgment.
You will remove all identifying information from patient cases before posting them.
Respect other’s copyright. Do not send copies of copyrighted material to the list, instead post references or hyperlinks.
Respect our copyright. Do not share copies of list postings without express permission of the author.
You are not permitted to share content that is contrary to law, defamatory, obscene, pornographic, abusive, racist or threatening in any way.
Any ideas, suggestions, thoughts, recommendations, opinions, comments, advice or observations set out in the content are those of the person submitting the content and do not represent those of the Safeguarding project team.
Information contained in postings from fellow members should not be used as evidence based opinion without the express consent of the member posting that information.
Information shared in this forum should not be used as evidence within legal reports or proceedings without the express consent of the member posting that information.
You may also permit any other user of the Safeguarding communications tools to access, display, view, store and reproduce such content, providing that it is not for commercial use.
The Safeguarding project team makes no guarantee regarding the reliability, accuracy, or quality of the content.

Privacy policy
The Safeguarding project team is committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.
We regularly gather non-personal information about visitors to our website using cookies (see www.aboutcookies.org), log file data and code which is embedded on the Safeguarding communications tools. We do this to understand visitor needs and to improve our products and services. For example, we collect the IP address and network location of the computer that you use to access the Safeguarding communications tools.
