The Secretary of State Ed Balls has announced the appointment of four new members to the Board of the National College for Leadership of Schools and Children’s Services.

New data is available which shows the serious case reviews carried out by local authorities that Ofsted reviewed.

Hartlepool Council has been praised by Ofsted inspectors for offering good training and effective leadership for staff following a spot check of the authority’s safeguarding arrangements.
